Balboa Candy
One of the greatest places in Balboa Island, and we mean EVER? It has to be Balboa Candy. Balboa Candy is pretty much a family-owned candy store that should nevertheless
be seen as one of the most special landmarks of Balboa Island. Why, you ask? Because it's one of those traditional, old fashioned candy stores that make the love of
candy not simply an experience to be tasted by the children, but also by the adults. The fact that the shop sits just about at the heart of the island is not lost on
us at all - at the very heart of the Balboa Community is a sense of child-like wonder. After all, what else can you expect from the area wherein the frozen chocolate banana
was supposedly first marketed? Or where you can find the famed Balboa Bar, which is essentially a square of vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate sauce and covered with
sprinkles (or nuts, or both)? With that kind of history, it follows that Balboa Island is a wonderful place to indulge in a sweet tooth and a second youth.
Both nostalgic and exciting, Balboa Candy has the honor of being the area's premier and best-stocked candy store. You can have anything from their famous salt water taffy,
to the old favorites like Beemans gums, Mallo Cups or gumballs from machines. Go as crazy as you dare - they won't mind at all.
